The photo above is an aerial shot of our neighborhood from MapQuest combined with a picture of a hot air balloon that floated over our house shortly after we moved in. The one to the left is the Red Mill, supposedly the most photographed structure in New Jersey. (How do they know?)
Hunterdon County — where our branch of the family tree is planted — is in western New Jersey. It’s a rural area consisting of farms, beautiful rolling hills and breathtaking views. Our ancestors settled here in the 17th and 18th centuries and it sure feels good to be back home.
